We accept fewer than 1 in 100 mentor applicants. Every one passes a coding test, a teaching demo, and a kid-friendliness round before they're hired. The mentor matched with your kid stays the same for all 8 sessions - so by session 3, they already know how your kid thinks.
A laptop or desktop with a working camera and mic, a stable internet connection, and Chrome (recommended). That's it. We'll send the meeting link and any tool logins before session 1.
Class 1 is your trial. If it's not clicking, tell us before class 2 starts and we'll refund the 7 unused classes. From class 2 onwards, refunds aren't available — by then your mentor has blocked their calendar for all 8 sessions, and the seat is closed to other parents who were on the waitlist.
Two things. First, every session is live 1-on-1 - there's nowhere to zone out. Second, every camp is project-based. Your kid isn't watching slides; they're building something they'll actually want to show you afterward.
We run camps for families in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia. Once you book, we'll find time slots that fit your family's schedule - including evenings and weekends.
Yes. Every kid who finishes a camp gets a Codeyoung completion certificate.
